This was a great spot for a easy hike. The terrain is fairly flat, with few obstacles. Lots of birds and small animals around to get a look at.

If you like to hike, this is a "must do"! My hubby and 2 older teens stopped here for a break on our way from Anchorage to Denali. We took a hike around the lake and views were incredible! Yes, it was a clear day...More

Good prices a friendly staff rented a canoe for the day but would recommend bringing an anchor if you a using it for fishing being solo and with wind on the lake can be challenging to keep yourself on the fish everything else they provided

We didn't have a lot of time to spend here, but I would go back and rent kayaks or go for a hike around the lake. Beautiful, and remarkably the water isn't that cold!

We had a great hike at Byers Lake and rented a canoe for an hour ($20). It's a gorgeous lake, so seeing it from the boat and trail was nice.

Best part was NO motorized vehicles (boats / aircraft) allowed. Peaceful. I would give this an 'excellent' if the campground road wasn't marked by...More

There's a $5/car parking fee if you drive yourself. Not attended - put the fee in an envelope and the receipt on your car. There wasn't a clear sign for where to park if you were hiking so we went too far and had to...More

I'm sorry but you are stuck without a vehicle. The lake is quite a distance from the lodge. The lodge does have trails that go up Keusugi Ridge but I would be a long but beautiful hike to Byers Lake....

Unsure. As of June still not completed. Knowing how slowly things get replaced with state/federal parks, possible government shut down here and Alaska money woes...I would not hold my breath for completion this year....I... More
