I visited Alaska with my wife in August. The Sundog Kennel tour in Talkeetna was the worst experience in this beautiful land. The owners are rude and do not try to provide any interesting explanation about the dogs and Iditarod. The ride with the dogs...More

Fabrizio The Tour begins with a safety speech and some critical facts about alaskan sled dogs. Then a ride on the ATV with the dogs pulling through our wooded trails. Then a musher with years of experience training these working dogs gives a 30 minute...More

You'll love this if you enjoy watching dogs run in front of an ATV. We were told that the dogs would be pulling a conveyance, which we assumed would be on wheels since there was no snow. Instead, the dogs simply ran in front of...More

The owners Kathleen and Jerry are sarcastic, bordering on rude. The information about the dogs and the race is interesting, but their attitude toward their visitors makes this experience not much fun. Example: their replies to questions make visitors feel stupid. They are condescending and...More

You cant really do authentic dog sled rides in the summer- without snow, so it was cool to be able to experience it somewhat, with the dogs pulling the ATV. It was neat to see how excited the dogs get to be able to do...More

This was a weird experience, the dog mushing is really just dogs running in front of a jeep, some dogs were fighting. The kids liked holding the puppies at the end, but the tour at the Native Heritage Center in Anchorage is better.
