we hired some bikes for an hour and headed off around the estuary. It is all sealed and a fun ride. The 10 year old was not happy about the hill but there is only really one big one and easy to push up. It is a shared cycle/walkway so just be careful. Make sure you take the route between... More

A well laid out bike/walking track. Just under 8k. Good to take some water along. Use the toilets at the start on Hibiscus Coast Highway before you start walking as there are no public toilets on the loop track.

I spent Sunday afternoon with many others enjoying the sun. I biked around the track and in to Orewa. There is still work being done, it will be amazing when finished but great already.

Generally flat walk on good paved surface with Estuary and new Millwater Housing views. It is a shared cycle / walkway and could do with more signage to educate people to "share" appropriately. e.g. keep left. Watch for children. There is no provision for dog waste to be deposited in bins and little if any policing of dogs off the... More

Finally got round to doing this walk as had heard many positive comments from locals. Walk is a circuit and can be started at multiple points en route. I parked just over Orewa Bridge and did the walk on a very blustery day. Route is relatively flat with only small up hill section. Majority of track is concrete with exception... More

I really enjoy having a place handy to walk or ride my bike and this walkway was constructed well allowing for easy access and pleasant views of the lovely estuary. It is particularly pleasant on a warm summer evening when I go and watch the sunset over the water, well done Rodney Council for implementing your planning before we were... More

Very easy and gentle 7km coastal walking/cycling path. Couple of Cafes along the way. Prettiest at high tide. Great for SUP'ing too!

My friends and I cycled round this estuary track recently. It was very good and the river views were brilliant in the sunshine. We also took in the beach and had fish n chips at the ship and anchor in the township. A great days entertainment and a great place to visit all year round.

I used to live just a few metres from the estuary pathway, and saw the changes happening, houses going up, each time I went for a run. Re-visited recently and running around the whole pathway was a joy. Beautiful views. Great way to spend a few hours, and free!

The cycle way is outdoor excellence. Whether on wheels or walking a great workout for the whole family. What better way to end your outing at the Estuary Cafe and Art Gallery.
