The wall of Avila completely surrounds the old city and has nine gates and eighty eight towers. Judging by their appearance you would never guess their age at more than a thousand years.

Before entering the city of Avila , viewpoint provides perfect view of the wall of tge city on Hill from farsight. Let stop and take the picture there and there is pictute map to see navigation of the places in the city.

I am getting to Avila by car coming from Madrid. Is it easy to find parking logs around / close to the walls ? any advice ? thanks,

Parking is limited and divided into zones in Avila. There's parking outside and inside the walls. The maximum stay in the metered spots is 2 hours. If you read Spanish, you can look at the informative brochure with map on... More
