Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We headed up the Scara Acoperita-Covered Stairway to get up to the church itself. The view alone is worth it. If you want to go inside the church, it’s 10 lei. There was someone there practicing the organ so that added to the atmosphere. The frescos were painted over during the Reformation but the church won an EU Award for its restoration work. You can see St George slaying the dragon but rather than getting the girl in the end, he convinces the town folk to convert to Christianity.
Apparently this is one of the only churches in the region with a crypt and you can go inside although there’s not that much to see. Still work the relatively cheap entry fee though and even if you don’t want to go in, just head up for the views.

The church from inside isn't that impressive, but the view on top of the hill over the city of Sighisoara is great. The Scholar's Stairs is also nice to go through. It is not the best church you will ever see, but it is nice to visit shortly.

You'll likely be coming by the famous stairs that lead up to the church and if you have time to spare, might as well go all the way up. The church and the adjacent cemetery are quite beautiful, however the church's charm is mostly on its outside as the decor is quite plain. I'll also give this church a lot of respect for having informational pamphlets available in a lot of languages, the selection was the most inclusive I've seen in any other attraction to date.

On top of the hill, as the name says, sits the church, with a long and interesting history. Fully restored, and next to the school. Beautiful views of the city. The stairs up are the highlight and there a small cemetery next to it, with tombstones dating back several centuries

I would call it "The Mountain Church". Here you get to see what the Medieval Gothic style is all about. The cemetery next to it ("Bergfriedhof") is one of the most beautiful cemeteries I've ever seen in my whole life. I spent two hours just looking at the headstones. The sense of presence of history will send shivers down your spine.

The cost is 10 lei for each adult. Very interesting historic stop, and they have a variety of laminated pages in different languages so you can learn more about it. You can visit the crypt also, but it is very small. The greeters were very friendly and generous, and willing to chat and answer questions.

It's well worth the walk up the hill to see this church. Views are lovely and it was very quiet. The exterior is quite stark and unadorned. Inside has an interesting crypt. There is also a cemetery that is worth a look.

It's a nice church on top of the hill close to the old school. There is also a cemetery nearby. You can admire the beautiful paintings inside and also visit the crypt. Worth stopping by.

A cheap entry of 10 RON gains entrance to this lofty spacious church. The interior has a number of important features including impressive alter pieces and some rather distressed frescoes.

The steps are full of people who wish to entrap tourists. Watch your belongings. It is a shame such snatching of tourists belongings are happening in a cathedral premises. Church itself is ok

Forgot to add in my previous post that, if you do the steps, you can take them seven at a time, because all the way up there are six steps then a rest, six steps then a rest, etc. It symbolises the six days God took to create the world and on the seventh day..... he rested. Hope that helps.
