I actually didn't want to rent a scooter, but a vacation in Asia without one is kind of stupid. So I booked 2 driving lessons.
I had Mamo as my teacher and it was great! I was picked up from my accommodation on time. Then we went to a place to practice. Beforehand, there was an explanation of all the basic things about the scooter. After a few exercises (starting, cornering, turning, emergency braking) we went out on the road with it on the back. The correct way to turn was explained and discussed beforehand.
If you are still unsure about renting a scooter, you should treat yourself to the 2 hours

Excellent and friendly teacher in Yogi who explained and showed me the basics of driving a scooter very well, I’m a total beginner on the scooter. For me the difficult thing is the driving itself and he was very patient and thorough in this. First time we practiced safely in a non traffic area and the second time in traffic with walkie-talkie( I had practiced on my own in between). Great experience and good for both the driving itself and to understand the Balinese traffic and how to ride safely. To be able to use the bike, especially in Canggu, adds so much more freedom and possibility to enjoy the neighborhood completely.

Mamo and Gede took my sister and I for a 2 hour lesson to learn to drive a moped, and they succeeded! They picked us up from our hotel and drive us to a field where they set up some exercises for us to practice. When we were confident they took us onto the roads and we drove ourselves home! We had a great time, they were very good teachers. Would highly recommend as we now feel confident to rent a moped.

I had my lesson with Mamo and it was perfect. He is a very nice guy, very professional and attentive on how you drive and how you feel. He made me feel very confident and in 1 hour we went already on the streets. It was a great experience, and I can recommend this class.

I was inquiring about scooter lesson in Bali Group on Facebook when majority of the replies recommending Canggu Scooter Lessons. I contacted them and Bli Krisna immediately replied. I had so much fun learning with Canggu Scooter Lessons! Everybody is very friendly and accommodating. I took total 5 lessons with Bli Gede and today I am driving at night with pride (and safely!). On my first day I was scared and worried as I was in accident before but Bli Gede is very patient and professional. I could not recommend enough. Thank you Bli Krisna and Bli Gede! You guys are amazing!

I was extremely nervous about the mayhem of a scooter in Bali but Yogi from Canggu Scooter Lessons really put me at ease and taught me the skills and ways of the moped life here in Bali. After my lesson, a little practice, and some confidence, I'm flying it! Really could not fault the team here, efficient, friendly, and amazing teachers. If you have any doubt or nerves about the scooter, give them a shout!

We became much more confident on the road thanks to these great guys. They are good,patient teachers and very nice people. If you are scared of driving or need to get some skill,take a lesson with them.

Scooter classes were fun with Mamo, he was nice and taught me all the basics - I learnt how to ride in less than 2 hours. He even took me on the road and made me practice too! Highly recommend before you rent you first scooter in Bali.

Hello, thank you for your message.
Our scooter lesson takes 2 hours and it’s 300K IDR.
The lesson is including the scooter, helmet, and pick up from your place (free pick up in canggu area).
We can customize the lesson depend how you will feel. We will start from the parking lot by practicing the balance and turning. And only when you feel ready and confident we continue to the main street.
For learning driving the scooter it's always better to already know how to ride a bicycle.
So to have the lessons is required to have experience with riding bicycle.
