As part of our private Tianjin tour, we asked to spend some time here? There is the clock tower, but the best is the local handicrafts, real local products, hand made. One of our party had something hand made for him which we picked up after lunch. I much prefer this to the typical tourist trap.. and you may find... More

Interesting architecture. Pretty much the same souvenir shops found through out China. We were brought here as part of a cruise ship tour. No need to go out of your way to come here.

Good place to find inexpensive Chinese souvenirs. A wide variety of shops including artwork, porcelain, wooden items, women's clothing. The setting is very pleasant with old style Chinese architecture. Lots of street food. Some merchants speak English. Nice for a stroll and window shopping.

Spent 4 days at this tourist site. There was so much to see and do. Of course, you have to be interested in art, silk, paintings, craft, crystal or Jade. There was also a Chinese temple. It is a nice walking street, which is also situated along a river with an excellent bund to walk on. I am very fond... More

Oh my god. Disneyland for the Chinese. I don't want to be offensive, we all have streets like this. At the boulevards at sea and everywhere else. They cater for the masses. The tour busses wait in the streets surrounding it. The tour guides almost drive their groups as cattle from the shops and tourist restaurants back into the busses.... More

I visited with a Chinese friend. I bought some brushes and ink and will go back soon, for another look. Recommend.

This area is well worth the time to visit. There are many shops with a wide variety of goods (as well as prices), and there are many street side vendors as well. Plenty of things to eat on and off the street. Also if you want souvenirs then you can get them here.

This type of 'ancient' street can be found all over China. Every city seems to have one. The buildings are ancient so they are cool to see and they are used to sell cheap souvenirs. I give it 4 stars as this street in particular is so cheap and if you need some gifts to take back home, this is... More

So this place is quite fun unlike all the other ancient streets in other towns. There really is a lot of stuff and I do see things which I don't see anywhere else in other parts of town. There are lots of street food such as sweets you can blow and create so pretty, cultural museums and stuff like that.... More

Cheap wares, cool little vendors and shops to check out. Get a nibble here and there and pick up some souvenirs.
