as the tower has entrance ticket, it is better to go inside in the evening before sunset to have overview of the city, after sunset you will fint totally different view of the city with colorful lights .

Visiting one of the top tep tallest TV tower of the world, surrounded by frozen lake is definitely a nice experience. Usually Its not very crowded and with a reasonable ticket fee of 50 yuan it gives a very good view of whole city.
