Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great tour with fantastic guides.

Hard to fault the team for our tour - they adpated the schedule to ensure we could spend time watching a humpback that was in the area before we got to the kayaking section. Whilst we didn't see huge amounts of wildlife whilst in the kayaks, our guide was very knowledgable and entertaining and the return to the "mothership" in the cove whilst we waited for our return to Ketchikan included some very tasty snacks and hot/cold drinks.

Highly recommended.

What a great life experiences! Not just a great and spectacular place but a mannifecent experience. We saw wales, kayak and
Gavia and Jacob take care of us like a friends. Complete explanation, time and quality experience yo enjoy the moment.
After all we did not have busses to return our cruise and them make all possible with their own transportation
Definitely the best experience ever!

I was nervous about sea kayaking but there was no reason to be! The tour is in an area that is well protected and the water was very calm.

Devin, Matt and Spencer were all very friendly and made sure we had a great time! Spencer was our guide and his deep knowledge about the local ecosystem really added to our experience! We saw a bunch of interesting creatures and learned a lot! I can't recommend this tour enough!

This was a great tour, even for people not experienced with kayaking. Devin, Matt, and Jacob (tour guide) were all super accommodating and friendly. Jacob was very knowledgeable about marine life and Ketchikan history. It was a small tour with only 6 people, which was great for getting a break from big crowds. Would recommend to anyone!

Thank you Devin, Forest and the rest of your crew! First off...Devin contacted us (as we were doing the excursion as part of a cruise) to let us know that the day we booked didn't line up with the day our ship would be in port! (A great catch on his part!!) He worked with us to set up a time (on the correct day) that worked for us and our travel buds. The equipment was top notch! We were ferried out to their staging vessel in a brand new boat (very nice). The weather was perfect. The six of us spent about 1 1/2 hours kayaking with Forest before heading back to the staging vessel for snacks & drinks. Devin dropped us off "in town" so we could "shop" our way back to the ship. (This was our second time booking with Orca Cove Sea Kayaking)

The staff were friendly and upbeat. Our guide (Forest) was knowledgeable and informative. The kayaks were easy to use and the entire trip was very enjoyable.

Mat and Devon were amazing.

Orcas Cove is a good choice for sea kayaking if you’re a beginner. You fully get the open Sea kayak experience, but with less waves and less wind.

We saw Eagles, a variety of rare starfish, even a humpback whale! Try to match the magic of that next to your kayak.

A wonderful experience on the quiet of the ocean with no other tourists in sight.

Highly recommend

If you’re in Ketchikan this is the thing to do! Devon, Forest and Matt are locals who are very knowledgeable about the area and are so much fun. We saw a whale on our way to kayak and Devon let us watch it as long as it was there. They’re also very patient with novice kayakers. All in all a great experience! Have a beer with these guys!

Quick & low key excursion off the cruise ship. The guides were very nice and provided some interesting nature & history facts. So fun to go from people packed ship to speedy motor boat, to chill house boat, to quiet ocean kayak with serenity of water & trees. We didn’t see as many animals as hoped but we did see many salmon jumping out of the water, a humpback crest the water, and numerous bald eagles! I was glad to have binoculars and a bigger camera with us. It was so nice to be in cooler weather & away from crowds.
