The oldest bar in Ketchikan! Est. in 1937. We are a waterfront bar with a covered deck for an outdoor experience. We have 19 draft beers on tap and the best bloody Mary's in Alaska! We are locally owned and operated. Come down and meet Paula who has owned the bar for the last 22 years. She's a hoot!

This is a good hole in the wall bar with characters working the bar! We played some pool, drank some beer and got harassed by the bartender, I forgot her name but she was unique and fun!!! Most of the guy's I was with had been in here for the past several months and knew everyone, so it was very... More

Old bar, great atmosphere, staff, and customers. We stopped here while on a cruise. They do not serve food, but will call across the street to either Burger Queen's, or Alava's Fish & Chowder. After seeing an order from Alava's, we had to try the fried Halibut nuggets with onion rings. The bartender made the call, and soon our order... More

This location couldn't be any better! We got off our cruise ship and it is right there, easy walk! The friendly owner and bar staff kept us beer'd and whiskey'd. I have to add that it was absolutely pouring rain and we were soaked, they welcomed us in, nonetheless...dripping all over. We got a few shirts and enjoyed our time... More

Yep, that's the truth! In 1956, the bar was actually swept off it's pilings, along with tenant, “Peaches” Fisher, who’d been relaxing in his bed upstairs. He survived that journey... and many more after that! Great stories surround the history of the Arctic Bar and owner, Paula, is ready to share more if you belly up to the bar and... More

Cruise stop over in a great town. We had a blast in this bar. This bar is right near the pier where our cruise ship was docked. There was a great statue(Happy Bears) coming out of the wall of bar that originally attracted us to go inside. Bought fabulous logo'd t-shirts for all our employees. Paula and Kara are fabulous... My husband and I stopped in here for a drink on the way back to our cruise ship from an excursion. Super welcoming crowd and Paula, and owner, made us feel right at home. Fantastic bloody marys! No food on premises but they can order you delicious carry out from a place across the street. If you are looking for... More
