If you are in Ketchikan, it is worth a visit to understand the history and art of totem pole making. Along the walking trail, leads to nice view of the creek, where you can see Salmon going upstream.

Very interesting museum to see the authentic totem poles and read about the interpretations. The free shuttle back to the cruise docks was very helpful, too.

$5 entrance fee to visit well worth it had no idea about totem poles before we went there, there people to talk to about the different totem poles. Takes about 45 minutes to see all the exhibits.

A great place to visit, beautifully curated. There are some amazing photos here as well as some original totems here. You can get through this museum fairly quickly. I would say, don't miss it. Cost is 5$/person.

This was a very neat place built to protect the old totem poles they have collected. It is a small place but packed.
