Ketchikan Taxi Cab Tours drove us past other totem pole parks and brought us here saying we could get closer to the totem poles which seemed to be true. I like fine wood work and it was neat to be able to trace the cuts...More

There's nothing intrinsically either wrong or right about checking this out; if you love totem poles, there are some poles that will interest you; the venue isn't particularly large, nor does it take a ton of time to walk around. Overall, however, it was just...More

Well done! We loved this excursion and with our tour guide, Braden. He tells great stories! The children enjoyed getting to make a scale for the sea monster!

This is a very good collection of native people's cultural work. The totem is more of a symbol of the family tree--not a religious statue of some history books indicate. This is a very good learning experience,

Some of the previous reviews were clearly written by people that were on a group tour (and weren't happy about the tour in general, or so it sounds!) I've been to Ketchikan before, but had always missed this place. This year it was stop #1:...More

This tour was average at best for the money. The totem poles and huts were replicas and clearly very new. This tour was included with the Lumberjack show and I felt that both were geared toward a young audience. My husband enjoyed it more than...More

It was very quiet while Timothy of Ketchikan Taxi took us to the park. He gave a full tour, complete with stories of the totems and their meanings. It was nice to see a classroom where kids could do interactive activities with native art. The...More

There is little information on the poles and their creators. The tours are done by people who don't know much. If you love old cars ok.

This is an interesting totem place but one should listen to the native who gives a talk on the totems and what they mean and perhaps check out (look through windows) at some of the carvers. The totems are set up as a tourist experience...More

Felt like I had been conned by coming here. The totems and house aren't even real, or carved by native carvers....?! Just some family trying to make money off of the real park next door. There are old cars there, which didn't really make sense...More

Hello Kate:) We went last summer by ferry and the amount of time we were in port was about the same. There was a guy and his daughter in the parking lot in a van/bus that offered rides into town for 20 bucks a person and... More
