There are just souvenirs stores but in the creek you could have the opportunity to see local salmons, seals, birds. The dollys is 10 dlls tour.

The former Red Light District, it is now full of shops and restaurants. Historical and quaint, it has given the area a much needed boost. It overlooks the river and there were salmon in it.

Creek Street is a lot of fun. There is plenty to see, lots of shops to browse and good food to be had. Lots of sea life in the river as well

Of course not. No one in Alaska eats doughnuts. Only seafood here. You can get bagels and lox and maybe a little cream cheese, much better than doughnuts. And of course anything made from sour dough.

You definitely can do it independently. But you might enjoy tidbits a tour guide might offer about the location. Its within about a half mile of the cruise ship docking area. We had no tour. Very easily accessed.
