Our hosts were very knowledgeable, and passionate about the plants indigenous to Alaska. You walk thru the gardens at your own pace, and refer to your "guide paper" to see what plant/plants you are seeing. At the end, you are greeted with a complimentary cup of tea & homemade cookies! Very relaxing!

Visited here while on a tour from the Ruby Princess cruise line, last cruise of the 2016 season. The hosts offer a very informative tour. Their garden is mostly level, compared to other rainforest tours. Would recommend this for a person interested in botany. The hosts were very professional, and gave a presentation at end with hot tea and fresh... More

This was the first part of a 3 part tour from our cruise and it was beautiful there. The two guides were very informative and friendly and available to answer all and any questions. There was a delicious snack and hot tea waiting for us afterwards.

This was part of our shore excursion on Ruby Princess Cruise. It's so nice to see native plants and the variety of fungi in this park - explanation was given in a pamphlet too. When we started our short walk in the gardens, it began to rain but it didn't stop any of us. On this day we managed to... More

Please do not confuse this with the larger Glacier Rainforest. It is a gem not to be missed. The walk was beautiful and the hosts fantastic. The Svinickis have created a serene sanctuary in the rainforest and provided us with their expertise as well as tea and cookies. One of the highlights of our trip to Alaska.

This was part of an onshore tour we had booked on our cruise. We had a light shower of rain while there but they supply umbrellas so was still enjoyable. Doesn't take long to walk through, following the path and referring to the handout they gave us, directing us to different plants etc. Learn about how the natives used the... More

This was the first time I've been in a real rainforest. It even rained a bit on our trip, but there are umbrellas available. The hosts were friendly providing everyone with hot tea and cookies after our 15 minute walk through the rain forest garden.

The drive through the forrest was nice, the view from the top was pretty but that was literally "it". Very small attraction.

We had a great time at the rain forest. Jeff and his wife are excellent hosts. They provided information, umbrellas,.snacks, and a.hot drink. The scenery was beautiful and the walk wasn't too long or strenuous.
