Easy walk from the downtown to see the quaint little church. It was built in 1893 and is listed as a historic church. What I found interesting was the fact that it is octagonal is shape. The interior of the building is quite beautiful and...More

Nice little up hill hike to where its located. Small and very local feeling. More of a historical interest than a place of visual interest. Not established by Russians, but locals.

I was one of the people who renovated the church recently: both the foundation and the tower. I think the temporary stairs I built are also still there although I'm not positive. The place is very interesting to look inside, small but elegantly ordained. The...More

We made a quick stop to see the St. Nicholas church. It's unusual (at least to me) and still in use. One of the staff was explaining the history of why there were certain paintings and it was very interesting. Other than that it's a...More

Great place to visit to see both the history of the State and to learn about the vast influence of the Russian Orthodox Church in the State and their continued presence in the State. Spend some time looking at all the antiques.

My wife and I hiked uphill in the rain to find this tiny church. Very interesting interior and exterior. There's lots to see and photograph inside the church. My wife felt that it needed better maintenance, however. There were only tourists at the church when...More

We hiked up a few streets away from main streets to this wonderful little church. We happened to meet the recently appointed priest. the church is small maybe fitting 25 people standing. He admitted that there were not that many of that faith in town...More

This little church is not really a must see attraction for me. But if you walk up the hill, you will have a nice view over the city and see some nice old wooden houses.

Picturesque little church just a couple of blocks from the cruise ship docks, a nice break from all of the "ALASKAN" gift shops that have littered the downtown area. Nice photo op plus it's free which is an unusual experience in our 49th state, check...More

After reading about this church in just about every tour guide, we decided to check it out. First of all, parking in downtown Juneau is a nightmare. We finally managed to find a space a few blocks away, and then had to navigate the incredibly...More
