On a cruise ship, we were looking for something to do at the end of the day. We took the tram with a 7 and 9 year old. The views were nice and we enjoyed the free movie at the top about the native people. There was a gift shop and restaurant but not much up there. It was nice... More

Took the tram ride as part of a cruise excursion package. Obviously, it did not help that it was cloudy and pouring rain, as the views at the top were only of the cruise ships. Regardless, there is not enough at the top to justify the cost of the ride. There was a little restaurant with a basic priced-for-tourist menu,... More

When in Juneau you should take a ride on the tramway to the top of Mount Roberts, especially if it's a clear day.

Went recently for the 2nd time, each from a cruise ship stop. Absolutely beautiful and amazing views of downtown Juneau and the surrounding mountain areas. There's also a nice nature trail that you can climb where you can see even more spectacular views from the top. The nature center has lots of information and helpful staff in addition to an... More

I first went up in 2007 and it basically looks the same. Nice to do once or maybe twice, but the thrill declines after the first time. Still it was nice and good to do at least one time.

Our ride to the top was smooth and fairly quick. At the top they have excellent views back down the mountain (overlooking Juneau), hiking trails, a good restaurant, gift shop, and an injured Bald Eagle to view. I would definitely go again!

What a beautiful way to get a view of Juneau. The ride up takes less than 5 minutes. The staff are very friendly and answered the numerous questions asked of them. The ride is smooth and the views are fantastic. Once up top there is your standard gift shop full of local fare staffed by friendly workers. You can hike... More

Clean, quick ,entertaining and well serviced .I expected this car to swing wildly about in the wind but it was quite stable. Many trams later in the day were crowded and the waiting lines were long.

The people who work here are first nation and they know their stuff. If you've arrived by cruise ship and time is limited, this is one to do.

The view is nice and the price is reasonable. There is a unique gift shop at the top side of the tram stop. There is a theater where you can enjoy free folk songs by a Christian family, donations were welcome. I really enjoy the entertainment !

Thank Nelly B
