While in Juneau we decided to do our own thing and went up the Tramway. The view is nice but not outstanding. Unfortunately the trails around the top are in need of some repair. There are a lot of stairs that are in a bad...More

The tram is great if you don't fancy the hike all the way to the top of Mt Roberts, but it doesn't actually take you to the top, and is very expensive, and very crowded. Saying that, it makes for an easy ride past the...More

Only reason for 3 stars is that it was closed. I bet the view would have been amazing, but Juneau’s weather can get pretty tricky so if it’s foggy/rainy/misty probably best to avoid and save your money.

Juneau was one of the ports on our cruise, and we decided to go up the tram as one of our activities there. The ride up was nice (although I think if we had more time to spare, I would have preferred to hike), and...More

The photos made it look like the tram went up quite a large mountain but it is actually just a little Foothill. If the tickets hadn't been included in our tour I wouldn't have bothered once I saw it

It was a little expensive well worth it. As you ride the tram the attendants give you the history of the tram and an overview of the area.. the views are amazing of Juneau, Douglas and the Valley and Gastineau Channel. When you arrive at...More

The tramway starts in the tourist town Juneau, close to the cruise docks & takes you up a steep mountain overlooking town. I thought the price is a bit high. We bought our tickets when we arrived at the Tram. The trip up only takes...More

Technically yes the weight limit is 60,000 pounds according to the plaque in the tram or 60 adults but about 40 fit.

the tram closes at 9pm. If there are no lines you should be able to squeeze in a quick trip up and down.
