We did just about every activity (whales, limo, waterfalls, glaciers, ...) with Alaska Luxury Tours (ALT). So what matters most? Professionalism? Enthusiasm? Knowledge? Respect? Politeness? Flexibility? Willingness to shift course? This team possess all of those characteristics and qualities.
Every team member is exemplary in their "job". From captaining the vessel(s), to guiding us through forests, to tackling backwater rivers for fly-fishing, we weren't left wanting for better service at any time.
Every piece of equipment was in stellar condition (limo, boat, etc.) The team was knowledgeable on many more topics (floral, fauna, sea life, weather, fish, whales,...) then I thought possible. Their passion for Alaska comes through in their communications. Never are they intrusive or preachy.
I strongly recommend using Alaska Luxury Tours as the BEST way to augment your trip to Alaska with knowledgeable , friendly "guides".

Wonderful staff from drivers that picked us up to the boat captains! They took the time to teach the kids, even the young ones, about the whales and wild life we were seeing, and were so patient with them. It couldn't have been a better experience from start to finish, and we cannot say enough great things about them. I would recommend them to anyone and everyone looking for the best whale watching experience in Juneau.

We did the private 5 Star by Land & Sea tour that included a private whale watch on a luxury yacht. Savannah and Jen were both amazing and got us great views of the whales and we had a beautiful drive on the water just marveling at the scenery. Gene was our driver and land guide and did an incredible job. He was extremely knowledgeable and took us to Nugget Falls for an amazing time. High recommend this tour and will do again next time we are in Alaska!

I have been on other whale-watching tours, but none as great as this one. I actually saw whales and did not have to spend the entire trip on my knees hugging the porcelain god. Every other whale-watching trip had me hugging the toilet, causing the most expensive vomiting I ever had. This crew was attentive to everything, including if the boat was rocking and would immediately correct it to make the day more pleasurable to me. I would highly recommend this company for a wonderful, top not experience whether motion sickness is a problem for you or not.

Our trip with Alaska Luxury Tours was nothing short of spectacular. Our pick up from the port was on time and our driver was knowledgeable, efficient and very pleasant. When we arrived at the dock we were greeted by naturalist Shannon and taken to the beautiful boat where we met Captain Sarah. The boat was stocked with tasty snacks and beverages. On our way out we saw two bald eagles snacking on fish. During our excursion we had multiple whale sightings, including a mom and baby whale!! Everyone we came in contact with from booking to day of was proficient, professional and knowledgeable. Our family thanks you for a day we will not soon forget!!

We did a semi private tour booked through Disney. The boat was very nice and the crew did a great job! Just as an FYI if it’s cold and raining and not really fit to be on the back deck the boat is very cramped with 8 people. I was one of the people sandwiched on the middle portion of the “U” table. It seemed like every time their was something good to see I was trying to scoot halfway around the table and then trying to find a spot to stand to be able to see. After awhile my daughter and I just gave up. 6 people would have been a much better fit.

Could not me more pleased with the Whale watching tour we booked with Alaska Luxury Tours, Andy and Sergio were Awesome. Service to the ship and the return was first class, will recommend to our friends and would not hesitate to use them again. Thank you for an unforgettable adventure!!

Thank you to the whole Alaskan Luxury team. Our cruise "sold out" of the whale watching tours and I reached out directly to Alaskan Luxury. They found a time slot for a private tour for my family. First class treatment from booking to the tour. The boat was great, private stateroom for my daughter's cat nap and a bathroom which is always appreciated. The crew was just as excited as we were to spot the whales. Great charcuterie board and drinks were waiting for us when we boarded. Couldn't have asked for more. Thanks all!

We did the 5 star land and sea excursion while on a cruise. Lilli was an amazing whale watching guide….great at engaging our kids and teaching! A highlight for us. Food and drinks were great. We had a tour behind us, so we did have to cut the tour short in the moment we started really seeing whales up close, which was a bummer, but I understand they had a group behind us. The yacht didn’t allow viewing from the front of the boat, only out the back, and though Taylor maneuvered the boat for us to see the whales, I would have preferred to have been able to see out the front of the boat. Overall not a big deal, but important to note that you only look out the back. Gene took us to some beautiful spots in Juneau and was knowledgeable and kind. Overall alot of fun….I probably would have just preferred to stay on the boat the whole time if I had it to do over, but a lovely group of people to spend the day with and learn from!

Amazing viewing of whales aboard PRIVATE yacht with your family and not 200 other cruise passenger. The kids learned about identifying flukes and could spot each individual whale by the end of the tour. Delicious food and beverages. Alaska Luxury went above to make our celebrations magical

Hello! We’re sorry for such a late response, we just now saw this in our inbox! To answer your question when boating around the Juneau area you very rarely have to worry about rough waters. Most of the time it’s actually calm like a lake because of all of the islands and mountains protecting us. With that said, if there is ever rough seas we always give our guests the choice of whether they want to go out or not. It’s all about you being happy! But to reassure you the chances of getting sea sick are extremely low! Thanks for the question, we hope to see you out with us next summer!
