We took the half day halibut charter and the crew were great. They were patient with guests who have never fished for halibut. Cathy, the person that helped arrange our trip was fantastic. We changed from the morning to the afternoon and added a few extra guests at the last minute and she went beyond normal expectations in making everything work. Many thanks to Cathy.
The only slam was the size of the halibut. They were all small as halibut go. If you are looking for big halibut (>15 pounds) do not take the 1/2 day charter. Take the full day charter.

Captain Victoria was absolutely amazing. The whole crew was very professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and shared our enthusiasm for wildlife. Definitely recommend this 11/10. Took upwards of 2,500 pictures…

Nice boat with great crew ,saw a bunch of wildlife . Has a snack bar and nice inside cabin leaves enough time on the island

We picked the best day of the summer so far to ride. The captain and crew were great at pointing out all of the amazing creatures and views! Truly an enjoyable day and this was a really great way to spend the entire day!! Couldn’t have been any better. Highly recommend if your thinking of seeing Seldovia book with these folks on the Discovery ship !

Despite the horrible rainy weather the captain kept us informed on the wildlife sites and views. We truly enjoyed Seldovia, even in the pouring rain. The return back to Homer was quite rough and a bit scary for some of my family. I never felt unsafe as the captain kept us informed and truthfully enjoyed the trip. A group of young people tackled the waves and sprays outside on the decks. They were so awesome!!! We arrived back in Homer in one piece. Hats off to our all female Crew!!! Loved it

We booked a half day Halibut trip and had a fantastic time. Grant and James took excellent care of us. We had a blast catching our limit of Halibut. The boat was clean, comfortable and was an enjoyable ride in and out. We were lucky enough to bump into a pod of Orcas and got to watch them swim around while fishing. I loved the workout of reeling in 200 plus feet of line to see what was on the other end. Our fish was cleaned, fileted and bagged on the boat before we got to the Marina. James is super fast with a filet knife! We had a great day.

Took a full day Halibut and Rock Fish trip in June 2023. Captain Drew and David of the Patriot were top notch and put us on big Halibut on the first stop. We limited out, saw some whales, and aided another boat who lost the ability to maneuver. It was a total feel good day with a beautiful Alaskan coastal backdrop. I would highly recommend Captain Drew of the Patriot.

We had a great time on our 1/2 day Halibut Fishing adventure…and the entire boat caught their limit! The deckhands were so helpful…ready to help everyone. A big shout out to Patrick for helping me land the 1st fish of the day. Pretty sure everyone left happy with their catches. Ready to do it again!!!

We will be in Homer Aug 9-11 and would like to do a full day Halibut fishing trip for 2. Do you have availability. Also the rates.
Hi Jodi, We have space available on August 10th and 11th. We would love to have the two of you join us. We use our six passenger boat, the Patriot, for our full day trips. We depart at 6:30 am and most trips run from 10 to 12 hours. The cost for a full day trip is $310.00 per person for straight halibut and $335.00 per person for a combination Halibut and Rockfish trip.
