This is a super peaceful, relatively easy walk to do in an afternoon. We brought our tiny Pomeranian and she loved it. You get a bunch of different views and it's really close to town. Make sure you get to the end for the best...More

This was not a terribly long trail and easy to find. It was gorgous! All kind of mushrooms and tiny flowers, trees had extraordinary roots. Some ups and downs, over a creek and ended with a gorgeous view. It's a rainforest like trail with plenty...More

Enchanting walk. Well maintained paths. Deep in the pines with beautiful forest ground cover. Easy walk or than hike. Have Haines shuttle drop you off here.

This hike will take you through a mature costal forest. The trail is relative easy with no real elevation gain that is a grunt. At the end of the trail you come out onto a pebble stone beach where we often enjoy a picnic lunch...More

I kept expecting Imperial Speeder Bikes to wiz by and even though that never happened, the sites were still quite spectacular. This well-groomed and lush nature trail is not to be missed if you are at all a fan of the great outdoors. The trail...More

I love this trail! Every time we go to Haines - we run this trail. Dog friendly - lots of variety. The first part is nested in the forest - then you spill out onto the ocean side ramble. It is awesome. The point is...More

Beautiful walk through the coastal rain forest and out onto a beach with spectacular view across the fjord and of the mountains beyond. An easy hike, but with really beautiful scenery. A must do when in Haines.

The mile of graveled path to Kelgaya Beach is just the first half. Near the far end of the beach the path cuts back into the woods and continues to Battery Point and a cove beyond. That part is natural (no gavel) and includes a...More

Great short hike through the forest, with a newly 'improved' trail. Definitely fairy territory in those depths as you pass downed trees covered with moss. The trail leads you to the beach, which a local friend deemed 'crowded' because there were 5 other people there...More

This trail, as opposed to some of the other beautiful trails in Haines is pretty well maintained and generally flat. If you are looking for a trail to walk leisurely and come out at points of interest, view a passing cruise ship or see large...More

Sorry, there is no public transportation to the Battery Point trailhead. You can walk the 1.5 miles down Beach Road, or there is a private van service called Haines Shuttle.
