Prior to the walk the weather had been rather tropical (a lot of rain) and we did get some rain on the day. The track was a bit hard to follow in places and was glad to have Bruce there. He read the group well and was able to assist as required. He was also just interesting to chat to... More

My wife and I always try to do an adventurous hike when we travel. We found the hike to be moderately challenging, which we felt was rewarding. Although the hike was rich with scenery. We felt undersold when it came to learning about native flora and fauna. Also, we both felt the group size (12) was a bit too big... More

Many hikers want to do the cross-island trail on Rarotonga which takes you from one side of the island to the other, peaking at "the needle". The trail up to the needle from the Avarua side is well marked, although very steep (50 minutes up), pulling yourself up on trees for balance. If you want to actually climb 'the needle",... More

We are a trasonably fit couple in our mid to late 40s and with a 10 year old. We started off with the tour guide who was great. Really informative and professional. Sorry forgot name now, but Pas nephew? We only got 20 mins into the Treck and there were some struggling. Especially one couple. What transpired was us having... More

Despite phoning to confirm the tour and pick up location twice, we weren't picked up for the tour. When we phoned up to query, were told that the tour was full and we had to rebook for next week, despite telling them we were leaving on Sunday. Their attitude to customer service was appalling.

Excellent trek across the island with our guide Bruce, who was really knowledgeable and friendly, not for the faith hearted this is a challenging climb and descent across Rarotonga, wear shoes with good grip, hiking boots would be best but not something you think of for an island holiday, but well worth the effort for the views from the Needle,... I went on a cross island trek with Pa and had a great time. He is quite the character so take time to chat with him. Keep in mind this is not the trek for you if you're a bit out of shape. There is a very steep climb to the top.We had a couple on our walk that held... More

We were pleased we did the trek over the Island with Bruce from Pa's Treks as he was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. It would be easy to get lost doing it on your own. Thank you Bruce

We did the nature walk with Pa. It was not strenious but very interesting. We learned a lot about natural medicine at his "palace" (his house) first. Pa says he is a Guru and a nature lover. Sure he does not eat meat. First we thought: what is this for a walk?, cause we stayed a long time in his... More
