Both my partner and I can see why this attraction has won best cultural show for 8 years in a row. A real treat and glimpse into the history and culture of the island and the village. The meal was totally amazing (so much so, we both went back for seconds), and the dancing and singing was brilliant. This has... More

For all the island night shows on this island we were told this was the best. There were a couple lows and a couple highs but I would still recommend. Lows; - Were waiting on the road at 5.00pm or bus to show, didn't till 5.30pm - Long time to get checked in an seated - Culture aspect at the... More

This was recommended by our accomodation as a traditional tour, show and buffet and it did not disappoint. It is up in the hills and offers a majestic panorama through lush vegetation and then the sea. The narrator Danny was warm, confident and extremely knowledgable and passionate. I feel like we all got an intimate insight into the history of... More

This was a long night. The event started at 5:30 seated on a table of strangers, with little idea of what lay ahead. We ordered some drinks, but were immediately ushered outside before we could touch them. The MC for the event, Danny took us through the neighbouring grounds teaching us about native culture and history. This involved participation in... More

The Highland Paradise tour came highly recommended, and did not disappoint! Danny, our guide, host and overall entertainer made us feel so welcomed into his family's heritage. We really felt immersed in the islands culture. Although our tour was relatively small it just added to the intimacy of the show. The food, especially the Umu, was incredible! One of the... More

My hubby and I were recommended this particular show at Highland Paradise from our accommodation. The packaged included pick ups, drop offs, traditional umu feast buffet, a drink and an amazing cultural show - all worth it for the price. Driver who picked us up and dropped us off was very friendly and entertaining. Once we got to the place,... More

Great all round experience from pickup to going home time. Was nice to get inland and a bit higher. Excellent overview of what the site was and the history associated with it. The only place you will see a Cook Island marae. Then the show was great. Plus the food as good a meal as we had in our week... More

Highland Paradise is set in the hills above Raratonga with a magnificant view down the hillside to the water. We were welcomed with a group of drummers and a cocktail before a walk on the property and an insight into the history and culture of the Cook Island people. The show engaged each table as part of a vaka crew... More

This was our 2nd trip to The Cooks and our 3rd Island nights excursion, this was by far the very best in all areas. The evening started with a cultural village tour with our very personable and knowledgeable host Danny. Danny explained the history of the families and culture of The Cooks. The tour ended with a reenactment of a... More
