Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

WARNING that this is a TOURIST TRAP. Do not purchase any products at Iorana Pearl Farm.
Strongly recommend anyone skip purchasing anything there, however. The jewelry quality is horrible. Purchased a $600 bracelet with poor quality pearls, which wound up breaking and falling apart. Nearly lost pearls!! Had to get the bracelet repaired for another $100. After this, they slapped me with another $100 for tax. Total cost = $800.
Save your money on any of this terrible jewelry and stop by the Robert Wan store in Tahiti on the way home. I purchased another bracelet on the way to the airport for $300. Pearls and construction were BY FAR much better. You have a nice velvet pouch to keep your pearls, rather than a disposable paper bag at Iorana Pearl Farm.
I later went back to dive for a pearl, which was admittedly good quality - luck of the draw. They took videos promising they would email, but never did. Very disappointed that they didn’t live up to promises.
Giving Iorana Pearl Farm one star for the education on oyster farming and pearl cultivation. At the end of the day they overpromise and significantly under-deliver.

Very kind welcome, the lady took the time to explain the major stages of pearl production and we could see some steps including seeding. A shop on site with very nice jewelry. It is a luxury product worth its Award...

We had a phoenomenal experience! We reserved to dive for a pearl and it was extraordinary. Unreal! The staff is friendly and helpful and very professional!
They also have the best wide variety of pearl colors of all the farms and shops we went to. I found the light green pearl of my dreams in addition to the beautiful pearls we dove for. Loved every minute and grateful to everyone for making that happen! I'll cherish it forever! 💕

Nice people. Good overview of pearl farming. But prices are way too high. Bought a $2000 necklace only to find out from other dealers that it is only worth $500. Very disappointing and in my opinion, very dishonest. Better to shop at Love Here Pearl Farm instead.

This was a stop we did on the Blue Lagoon canoe and it was so informative. We learned so much how the Pearl farm processes and grows the Pearl. Learned alot that day.

I will never buy another pearl without thinking about how much work and love goes into making one pearl. Vaitiare was so descriptive in sharing each step of the process. And to top it all off, we got to purchase a few items to take home. 💕 My daughter still talks about this adventure and how grateful she was able to experience it all.

We found mooring balls for our sailboat late in the afternoon after visiting the coral gardens. Shortly after mooring, a boat came out to inform us we were moored at a family pearl farm. We were welcome to stay for free, just stay away from the other markers for the oysters. We were invited for a tour the next morning. Since the mooring was free, we felt obligated. Vai is the most friendly and welcoming person on the planet. Our tour was so informative and we quickly became educated in pearl farming. We bought a few pieces and thought the price was good. We were not educated in purchase prices for pearls in French Polynesia. All of us were quite impressed with the language and friendliness. We (8 of us) felt everyone should see this particular farm.

Visit here and speak with Vai and her family. We bought some beautiful pearls for some family back home and they are amazing! We only had an hour and a half to take the boat from Le Taha’a resort so we asked the concierge to call Vai ahead of time and she sent someone to pick us up from the boat landing, the wife picked out the jewelry, we purchased and she dropped us back at the boat landing in time to get back to the resort.
Thanks again Vai. Maruru

We visited two pearl farms, and this one was excellent. Although we arrived only 25 minutes before closing and so did not see the staff at work, our guide showed us every step, explaining the process very clearly. Lovely pearls in the shop, but no pressure to buy. I highly recommend a visit.

Visited this Pearl Farm during our jet ski tour of Taha'a. Unlike other pearl farms we have visited, this one was a "working" farm where we could view the "work." Also, the tour was very personalized by an engaging lady ("Via") who truly loves her job. The tour was somewhat "hands on" where unlike other pearl farms we have visited we were able to view all stages and have all of our questions answered. Would definitely recommend.
