Well worth trying to get at the top, amazing views from up there. Not the easiest to get there but well rewarding.

We hired a vehicle from Albert to circum-navigate the island which turned out to be quite a quick trip. One of the many highlights was going up Belvedere. Please be careful as the road up (and down) was mighty scarey, but worthwhile.

I went here on a Francky Franc Safari (which was fabulous)- stunning outlook; those peaks and lagoons are something else.

great lookout, easy to get to with a rental car (the roads are quite good). Get a view of the whole island. Definitely worth the trip.

This off the grid place offered great views of the two bays. We accessed them with ATV'S. What a great experience.

Another must-see when you are on Moorea. Belvedere lookout is on the interior of the island but situated in an area where you get to see both northern bays (Cooks by on the right and Opunohu on the left) of the island. This place can...More

In my opinion i would say it's to far to walk. In fact it would be a very expensive taxi ride. I would call them and ask about a shuttle.
