The outlooks can be accessed via a safe and well maintained paved road. Best to access via a scooter or car as hike would be long and challenging. There are hiking trails at the top once you arrive. The view itself is great. Definitely visit while on the island.

Beautiful view of Cook's and Opunohu Bays, with Moua (Mt) Rotui in between. Not much else to "do" here, but there is an information board to help you get your bearings.

Most beautiful view drivable in the mountains. Interesting archeological site on the way. Don’t miss the research exhibits on coral developments at the turn-off at the beginning of the road to Belvedere.

Beautiful lookout, easily accessible in a rental car. Once we got there and took pictures, we wanted to hike. There’s a large trail map, but be sure to look at the back if hiking because the front is for cycling. The back shows hiking routes, approximate times, and some points of interest. We took a picture of the map to take with us. The trails are marked with colors, but it’s not always obvious which direction to go. We just did a short 30 min out on one of the hikes and turned back, as we didn’t have time for the full hike. Definitely worth it though!

The view of Mount Rotui from the Belvedere lookout is the best you can get. The road going up is winding and there are hardly any signs but just stay on the road and it will eventually lead you there.

We had our car rental and took a drive around the island of Moorea. We heard about this site and found an easy drive up. A nice photo op. What was fun was on the way down we turned right onto a down slope unpaved road and about 200 yards down found a pineapple plantation with baby pineapples. A fun stop. Other days we relaxed in the water and SPA.

This is a great stop to take in a great mountain and ocean view. One of the highest points of the island. Just hope the locals blaring music in the parking lot aren't there when you visit. It was deafening and almost ruined the experience.

This lookout is easily accessible on a blacktop road where you have a majestic view of both northern bays, Cook's and Opunohu.

There's definitely more than one way to get to Belvedere Lookout. We rented a car one day and then were taken there by our ATV tour. However you can, recommend checking it out. It's a gorgeous view of both bays and the mountains. There's also hiking trails from the lookout point, so if you're an avid hiker, there's more to explore.

We had a rental car. This is an easy drive from the Hilton and it is really a gorgeous view. We didn’t hike, just drove to the parking lot and took pictures.
