This isn’t a regular dolphin watching cruise but rather a lesson in marine zoology but instead of a class in the ocean First and most impressive is the fact that they do nothing to lure the dolphins or whales but try to track them in...More

We took this half day tour in mid April 2018 as a tour from the Emerald Princess. Dr Poole was charming, informative and engaging the whole time and took trouble to get to know a little about all his guests. This is not the time...More

We booked a Whale and Dolphin encounter "shore" excursion during our cruise ship's visit to Moorea. We were EXTREMELY lucky to randomly find ourselves with Dr Poole's company AND with Dr Poole himself as our naturalist. Don't know how often he does the encounter, but...More

We booked ahead of our trip, but another couple who went from our hotel (Sofitel) booked through concierge and we all paid the same price. We were told ahead of time to bring water, sunscreen, and snorkel equipment. We didn't end up getting in the...More

I can't believe there are only 190 reviews for Dr. Poole. I also wish I would have done this tour the first time I went to Moorea a few years ago. Dr. Poole actually picked us up himself from the Hilton and we made smalltalk...More

I did this tour when I was cruising on board Queen Elizabeth. We saw hundreds of spinner dolphins spinning: I had actually never seen dolphins doing flips in the air. You will be going out with people who are in love with this part of...More

At the start of our tour Dr. Poole stated that we had a 95% chance of seeing Spinner Dolphins. About 95 photos later I was still trying to get that perfect shot of the dolphins in action! Dr. Poole's running commentary was so very informative...More

We went on Dr.Poole's Whale & dolphin eco tour. This was NOT a swim with anything. It was raining and not much life around. After a lengthy boat ride around the inside of the reef to the other side of the island, we eventually came...More

Neither The Wife nor I am prone to sea-sickness, so take my answer as "ignorant." (We ocean cruise lots w/out problems.) The vessel is small (20 or 30 folks) and it never leaves sight of shore. Thus, you get occasional... More

I am of no help since we made our reservation through the Windstar cruise line...they took care of all the details and all we had to do was climb aboard the boat and enjoy the tour.

Sorry, we booked it the cruise ship, since we did not know about this until we were on Dr Poole's boat.
