There are a lot of little stalls with the variety of stuff which is clean and well ventilated. I found that most of it was the cheapest I've seen compared to the other cities. The wood items are the same price as the artisan area...More

Found the price to be a little inflated but the selection is varied and wonderful. The stall attendants were betty helpful and would negotiate price a little. Enjoyed the atmosphere of the place.

T shirts, wooden stuff, etc. Nice mercado because it's inside a very clean building. I'm not sure how much of the stuff was unique to Costa Rica.

Really needed to buy some souvenirs to bring home. But there are very few shops and mostly food places , not worth the taxi ride ,
