Besides being a fabulous museum about many types of jade and the history of this stone, there are many wonderful displays about archeology and how ancient peoples lived. It’s really an ‘all in one” museum. You will see Stone Age jade sawing and drilling tools....More

Thank you Jade Museum. Wonderful exhibit and loads of information. Especially enjoyed that some of the information was listed in English too. Two exhibits were closed for renovation and the entry price reflected that. (Nice touch.) Highly recommend this museum and of course, Costa Rica....More

Recommended by many friends, Jade Museum did not disappoint us. Remarkable collection of jade and other historic pieces of art, representative of Costa Rica and other regions in Central America.

Beautiful building. Not worth $15 per person, most of the screens for the exhibits were not working. Largest Jade collection but museum is much more then just jade. There was security/guards/guide in every room, but not helpful with much of anything. Just OKAY.

The entry cost was $8,200c, which I thought was on the high side, although it is a beautifully maintained and clean museum. There is an extensive range of artefacts, and most information is in both Spanish and English. There are touch screens which provide information...More

We were enthralled by the dramatic, artistic presentation of artifacts, history, and culture. Artifacts include jade, stonework, an extensive ceramic/pottery exhibition, a film/hologram, an area for children to experience an archaeological dig and more on five floors of exhibits. However, the presentation design alone is...More

This was an absolutely beautiful museum with interesting history about Costa Rica. We stopped in on a very rainy afternoon and had a great visit.

Yes you may. They have a very small souvenir shop. I found the prices to be a bit high, but that seems to be standard at museums.
