I won't beat around the bush, Avenida Escazu is missable. If you don't go you'll be just fine. The conglomeration of hotels, shops, restaurants, offices, lofts, condominiums and a movie house is just like the country--secretive and grossly uneven. There is nothing there of interest...More

Avenida Escazu is a chic few blocks of retail stores, apartments, offices, and a good food court. Seating out on the avenue for people watching and sunning. Again very pretty and total safe at night. Valet parking.
This is the most modern area we’ve seen in Costa Rica.
There’s a variety of dining options from different parts of the world, as well as branded products. The food court at the end of the avenue was a delight to see too.
