Calypso Tours is a tourism pioneer in Costa Rica. We created the now world...

Calypso Tours is a tourism pioneer in Costa Rica. We created the now world famous "Tortuga Island Cruise" in 1975 and are CR's first independent tour operator. Throughout the 40 years that Calypso Cruises has been the number one tour in Costa Rica. Experience blue water, white sand, green mountains, superb cuisine and attentive personal service. Calypso's super catamaran, Manta Raya, will pass through more than seven islands in the Gulf of Nicoya. Her Port of Call is the beautiful, palm studded Tortuga Island where you can walk the impeccable white sand beach, swim in the turquoise waters and investigate the marine life, while the crew prepares a sumptuous feast (featured in Gourmet Magazine). Enjoy dining in the shade of white umbrellas with tables covered in white linen.

My boyfriend and I just got back from a vacation in Costa Rica, and this was our favorite tour! The staff was excellent and I could not have hoped for anything better. We were picked up at our hotel in San Jose at 6am and greeted by our tour guide, Perce. We had a 2 hour journey on a comfortable... More

Calypso was the pioneer that began the tours to Isla Tortuga and has continued to revamp it throughout the years. The awesome Catamaran, the option to go to Punta Coral Island, the food, service, the works. None is as good as this one. If you want to experience the Islands, go with Calypso, no doubt!

The good: The staff was amazing they took care of every one of our needs. They were very polite and helpful in every aspect. They carted everything for the entire trip and made the meals and served us and I cannot say enough great things about the staff. They worked VERY HARD the entire day to make sure we were... More

Our days started with breakfast provided by Calypso, then catamaran ride to a beautiful white stand beach, followed by snorkeling, lunch and water sports and a sunset cruise back to the dock. Fruit and drinks (nonalcoholic) were free but beers were reasonably priced. The visibility for snorkeling was really poor at first, but it got better as the tide slowed.... More

This was an all day adventure. Nice breakfast, very stable boat and comfortable ride out to the island. On the boat the staff served drinks, fruit, and made everyone comfortable. On the island, they set up tables with shade umbrellas, tablecloths, and had an excellent meal. Swimming and other water activities were available, with live music in the background. A... More

I enjoyed the catamaran ride to the island. Nice having pop/juice on board along with fresh fruit. The 4 course lunch on the island was very tasty and I enjoyed the band playing some music while we ate. The Staff were very friendly and did a great job making our meal and setting up the dining area. They had white... More

The promised itinerary was well carried out. Breakfast was delicious and organized - authentically served on a palm leaf. The catamaran was well equipped, with crew members frequently coming around and serving fresh fruits. Ask the servers for drinks, because you will be waiting and waiting at the bar. The layout on the island was very comfortable but I expected... More

Excellent Catamaran cruise! We were picked up at the Doubletree Resort and had a short ride to the Calypso office and pier. Bryan the tour guide made us feel welcome from the time we got on the bus until we were dropped off back at the resort. When we arrived at the pier in Puntarenas, we were greeted by other... More
