Lovely waterfall there are 3 all together bit the top ones can be dangerous to get to, if you go to the zip wire there is a path to the top waterfall and you only have to pay a fee dollars to use it, so if you want to see the top one I would suggest that way, it's a... More

The walk from the road was fun scampering along rocks and weaving your way along the riverbed. During dry season it's not difficult at all, just make sure you bring footwear better than flip flops. The waterfall itself was nice. We didn't go into the water though as it's pretty murky looking. I really enjoyed scaling up the path to... More

It's an easy hike from the village of Montezuma and very scenic river hike up to the falls. It can a challenging for some depending on the season and water level but there are few different paths to chose. I walked along the river bed up to the falls and back along the upper trail. It's fantastic workout.

You can park in a private place for $2 and walk for around 20 minutes to reach the first waterfall, in order to go to the second and third there is a private path on the left side before the first one, I extremely recommend you to take this one, otherwise you need to climb a dangerous cliff to reach... There are actually three waterfalls here if you are willing to make the hike! From the main road to the main/bottom fall is about a 10 minute walk in where you will definitely not want to be wearing sandals. There's a lovely swimming hole.

Had the best morning adventure up to the falls. Admittedly just the trip to the lower falls in the rainy season was quite enough adventure for me and my sister negotiating the slippy rocks to get but we'd thoroughly recommend. Not to be the person that complains that the sea in Costa Rica is too warm but if you're looking... More

Short walk up a trail, do not need a guide, easy walk to cold fresh water, nice swim, beautiful falls for viewing, time it right and see a local climb a 100 feet up and jump to the deep water hole

I was not sure about because this part of the country do not have too much water during the year and because winter is just around the corner so I thought a waterfall in the middle of summer ja-right so I was not very sure even the river cause was bone dry maybe is a water fall with no water... This is a crucial walk over to if you're staying in montezuma, a lovely walk along the stream leading to the falls, a nice trail to work your way up to the top if desired. So beautiful and relaxing.
