We booked this tour through our house concierge for our family group of 8. Paul/Pablo could not have been more wonderful. He was great with our two nieces 9 and 12 and a gracious host to all of us. This tour runs based on tides, so we started with lunch at his home, cooked by his lovely wife, Wendy. (I... More

My wife, twin 7 year-old sons and I joined Paul for a mangrove boat tour, which our concierge at Tulemar resort set up for us. We did this after already doing a Manuel Antonio NP tour, a jungle night tour, a Poas volcano tour and a 4WD rainforest tour in previous days. Paul picked us up at our vacation rental... More

We were staying a Jungle Creek in Manual Antonio and booked a park tour with Paul Gonsalves. It was great. He picked us up at our villa early in the morning and we got to the park before the lines started. He was very informative and found all the animals we were hoping to see. I would recommend a tour... This is our family's third trip to Manuel Antonio and third time using Manuel Antonio Expeditions. Each time we have gone, we have done a tour of Manuel Antonio Park with MA Expeditions. Even though we are familiar with the park, I highly recommend using a guide as it's much easier to find things with someone who knows what to... More

Booked through Paul Gonsalves for a tour in San Jose to the Aerial Tram. The tour was supposed to be just for the tram at a price of $ 27 per person but when we got there they said you had to buy the entire package which was Tram, walking tour, and butterfly garden at a price of $60 per... More

Naturalist Paul Gonsalves is wonderful! From the moment we walked into the park we started to notice the difference. Some guides seemed to talk down to their guests, some treated tourists like idiots. Paul's laid back attitude coupled with his knowledge of what we were seeing / where we were - it was perfect. The kids were excited to see... More

Just returned from a fun, roughly 2-hour mangrove tour with Pablo and his boatman who, as reported previously, can spot the invisible! The mangrove is a peaceful, beautiful place in its own right-- but the variety of wildlife you'll see (especially birds) and the photos you can get are added perks. The mangrove is cooler than the mainland because of... More

I've done Manuel Antonio on a guy's trip about 5 years ago (back when we could actually hike to the waterfall and sit under it)! Always wanted to come back with the kids when they were older, and finally did so this Thanksgiving. We were recommended to Pablo by our excellent driver Francisco... at first I was skeptical, but that's... More

We visited Cost Rica in Nov 2016 and going to Manuel Antonio was a last minute decision due to the hurricane on Caribbean coast. We did the mangrove tour with Pablo as our guide. Pablo is a good naturalist. Flawless English as he has lived many years in US & Canada - he instantly won us over by talking abt... More

We were in Costa Rica for my sons wish trip as he was battling cancer and had wanted to visit Costa Rica for most of his life. We arranged a MA tour with Juan and he was great, he went out of his way to make the trip special for our son and was very accommodating considering his mobility issues.... More
