We were guided by Roberto Rankin, an excellent guide who was very good to find the animals. When he understood that we were interested in frogs he went out of his way to find some more species. He was very helpful and nice. We did both a canoe tour where we saw a very large number of birds. We also... More

My boyfriend and I went on three tours with Kuluch Tour’s various guides: a night walk (with the red-eyed tree frogs, sloths and the Jesus-Christ Lizards), a sunrise kayak outing (with dolphins, caimans, monkeys, and many species of birds), and a midmorning walk through the national park (with a taste-test of both young and old coconuts, birds related to the... Roberto talked to us when we were in town without being intrusive. He gave us a comprehensive advice on his tours and the best possible combinations to save time and money. So we decided to do the walk to the hill, the canoe tour and the night walk. We had two days in town. The first day we walked to... More

I hate to write this review, because my first interactions with Roberto and my canoe tour were so positive. But then the night tour happened, which was not only bad, but also ecologically irresponsible and upsetting. First the good. In tourist places where you get a lot of people lying to you to sell you things, Roberto is an honest,... More

My friend and I went on the early morning canoe tour with Robeto, and saw lots of wildlife, Roberto's knowledge was fantastic and he worked so hard rowing the canoe! We also did the night walking tour - didn't see as much (obviously it's down to nature and how quiet you are!) but still had a great time! The best... More

I visited tortugero with my family and went on the night turtle watching and the morning cano trip. On the night trip we saw many turtles and the guide Roberto gave excellent explanations on the entire process, the next morning we went on the canoing trip and again Roberto was very knowledgeable and we saw lots of different animals. In... More

We met Roberto when strolling down the main road- we popped into his office to ask about getting the boat to Moin. Roberto's prices were the same as everywhere else in Tortuguero, and he seemed like a good guy so we signed up for a turtle nesting tour, a canoe tour, a night walk, and the boat to Moin. Roberto... Victor was very helpful in setting up and taking us on the turtle nesting tour. He guaranteed us to see turtles and we sure did! He also helped us with getting a boat to Moin from Tortuguero. Victor was filled with "positive vibrations"!

Roberto met us at the bus stop in cairiari and helped us get all the way to tortugero. He was incredibly helpful and friendly. The next day we did the early morning canoe tour with him and saw lots of wildlife. Later that evening we also did the turtle nesting tour and saw a turtle !! He was great throughout... More
