In general I didn’t like much Puerto viejo. Probably because of the rain and the New Year’s Eve ... but I found it dirty, with poor food quality and facilities.

Great location to watch the everyday hustle of the local people, the fisherman, the corner markets. Great spot to watch the sunrise and set, be careful to the crabs! LOTS of dogs, they are friendly.

Very nice. Bt the waves are storng so be carefull if you are going inside the water. I recommend to go to the manzanillo beach its much more nice there.
