Caribeans is the origninal bean-to-bar chocolate factory in Puerto Viejo. Chocolate is made right in the cacao forest. Tours of our factory include: all-you-can-eat gourmet chocolate, the chocolate forest hike, and the "see how we do it" factory tour. Regular tours are Monday 10 am, Tuesday10 & 2, Thursday 10 & 2, Friday2 pm, and Saturday 2 pm. No reservations required. We also have a full service coffee and chocolate shop. Our coffee is fresh roasted farm to cup and delicious. Our chocolate is all hand made and organic. Fresh smoothies, sandwiches, ice cream and much more.

Their chocolate fridge is like heaven, relief from the heat and it’s full of lovely chocolate to taste and buy! We bought a lot. And had a very nice sandwich for lunch. Have the sipping chocolate - delicious.

It was one of the best tour's we made it 😀 The owner was one of the Guides. He know a lot about cacau and teach us a lot. We made a degustation with a great view. We love it.

Found this gem our first morning in the area & enjoyed a perfect cappuccino served with an excellent square of local chocolate on the side. Later, locals informed us it's the best coffee place around!
