We took an hour boat ride on the canal as part of our Syltravel tour. The boat driver was great and made sure he showed us birds, iguana, and caiman. It was a fun hour on the canal.

We saw lots of monkeys, sloths and we had an overall great time even in rain. Are guide was great. On way there seeing the island and learning about its produce growth and economy. Could not believe Dole pineapples leaving Hawaii for this island.

A fabulous boat tour with an excellent (and fun) guide; so much to see and explore. YES, I learned quite a bit, had lots of laughs and would highly recommend this great adventure.

We took a sure excursion here from NCL. It was slow paced but very interesting. Getting to and from the canal gives you a good view of Costa Rica.

We negotiated the price in port. We were a group of 6 in a private van. The river wildlife was very interesting and included a stop at a beach and a banana plantation. We paid $30 per person compared to $74 charged on the ship.

Having visited the rainforest during the morning on our return to the ship we stopped for a more brief excursion on the canal. In practise the canal ran parallel and adjacent to the road over a significant length of the somewhat brief excursion, and with...More

The boat we were in had no seats, and sat on the sides of the boat on cushions. Interesting thing is that this was the only boat we saw that had no seats. It was an uncomfortable trip.
