Every Saturday mornings the local people bring their food and hand made things to the farmers market. It's located just off the main road. Every knows where it is, so just ask and you will be able to find it.

Found that market by accident in the morning. There is a small sign that directs you to it. There were about 15 vendors set up. Was able to get food, lotions, clothing, and jewelry all in one place. Local atmosphere and friendly folks abounded!

It was an adorable little market. We bought some spices and everyone was very nice and let us try things before we bought and they were not very pushy. Great place to find local great items.

Some products were homemade, while other’s were not; Some were from local stores. The beast products were the pastries, spices and honeys. The fruits and produce was good and very fresh, but the same that could be found at a road side stand...

I wondered whether this farmers market would be as good as I have been to elsewhere but it was excellent. I took home a lot of products especially the cured meat.

Honestly, I am not sure. I always used colones. When in Costa Rica I typically just get colones from the ATM. For me that's where I get the best exchange rate.

Saturday mornings. I think it opens at 8:30am. And it is located down the dirt road behind Noguis Restaurant in the roundabout.
