This is a great beach for families, enough waves for boogie boards and surf lessons, but not too deep or too much for younger ones. The sand is soft and the people are so friendly. We cannot wait to go back!

This was our honeymoon trip that was given as a gift. So I didn’t know what to expect and I didn’t really research it. It’s a quaint little town. Reminds me of North Shore in Hawaii. Not a big city at all. More of a...More

Kick back and relax or jump in and surf on Tamarindo beach! Word to the wise the tide rises a ton in the late afternoon so don't just leave your things lying around or they'll get swept away. There are also a ton of people...More

Surfers a plenty, lots and lots of walks up vendors, including mariachi bands at night. Watch out for the fake Cuban cigars!

This beach had activities for all ages. Be it a beach bar, open lounge chairs, horse back riding, surfing, fishing... it had everything! There are plenty of shops to stroll through and lots of on beach vendors if you never want to leave the ocean...More

We stayed at Villa Verde II in Tamarindo. It's a 10 minute walk to the beach and close to downtown.
