Bernal has a very excellent tour company. Each driver for airport transfers, the ride to Playa del Coco, the Buggy adventure, and Jes, our driver to Borinquen, were all so professional and also very friendly and helpful. Joel, our concierge, set things up wonderfully for our trips to accommodate our family of 14 from ages 4-68 for two excursions. There... More

What a great day! Hansel and Marco arrived right on time to pick us up. The day was everything described and more. Horseback riding, zip lines, volcanic mud baths, hot springs, pools, great lunch, knowledgeable guides......a wonderful day!

We booked Tico Tours to handle our airport transfers to/from Playa del Coco's. They were at the ready to pick us up when we arrived and had cold waters and beer in the van for us. See below for feedback about our return to the airport with Tico Tours. The first tour with we booked via Tico Tours was the... More

These guys were good. They got us to a gorgeous waterfall that we swam in, ziplining, to a cheese shop, the rainforest on a trail, a restaurant for lunch, a bubbling volcano pool in a crater, and mud bath. It was about a nine and a half hour tour. The van was comfortable for the 16 of us. The tour... More

I have to agree with the mixed feelings comment. The staff for booking were awesome. One out of three of our guides were awesome. The other two not so much. The day tour to Borinquen was worth every penny from the car ride to the day adventure. All our guides that day were spectacular. The second excursion was the smaller... More

We decided to take our 3 teenagers for a day trip to Nicaragua. We had a rental car and was told by the car rental company we could do this trip alone, after going we were glad we did the tour as we would have been lost. Juan Carlos was our driver and Eric was our tour guide both could... More

we booked Tico Tours through our hotel Casa Conde. My husband and I were there for our honeymoon and we are not the type to sit around the hotel and not explore. We booked our first tour with the horseback riding, ziplining, and mud bath/ hot springs. This trip was amazing! Then we booked a shuttle to Coco Beach to... More

So there was a guy named Jose wearing a Tico tours shirt outside of our resort. There were other companies as well, but seeing as how I had actually emailed Tico prior to our visit, I went with them for our tours. Jose gave us quotes for several activities and we went back the next day to tell him what... More

We did the Nicaragua tour with Juan Carlos and Eric and the Palo Verde tour with Marco. I cannot say enough good things. They were on time (which has not always happened with other tour companies we've worked with here) and made the tours seem so seamless, even though I know it can't be easy to coordinate all of this.... We hired Tico Tours for airport/resort transport and a couple of day trips (Nicaragua, volcanoes, boating, rain forest, zip lines, horseback riding, mud baths, hot springs, etc). I can't say enough about their staff, wonderful people. Carlos, Eric and Marco quickly became like extended family and we loved spending time with them! They were all so much fun, knowledgeable and... More
