Definitely the most beautiful beach we have ever been to!! My wife is from Brazil, I'm from California and we have been to Hawaii and the Dominican Republic but this place was AMAZING!! We had a tiny underpowered front wheel drive car to get there and it was still totally fine. Follow Google Maps and it will take you to... More

This little gem is worth taking the time to find. You enter through Playa Brasilto and drive along the beach through a cut in the cliff, revealing Playa Conchal. Not a lot of amenities here - we snuck into the Westin Conchal to use the restroom and convinced a very nice manager to sell us some lunch!!! Come prepared. Caribbean-like... More

This is a wonderful place -not too crowded, some shade, and green coconuts/beach massage available - a wonderful way to spend the day.

We loved this beach! We were staying in Playa Brasilito which was about a 5-10 minute walk here. We visited almost every day. The water is crystal clear, and near the rocks you can see colorful and tropical fish. On some days the water is very calm and we could safely swim out very far and all around! However, I... More

hey, this is one of the costa rica seven nature wonders, and even when it's beautiful, it's also crowded and a lot of people trying to sell you stuff you don't need. If you want some quiet time, choose some other beach. If you don't mind this vendors, don't worry and go there, the water is awesome pristine.

We came here after a local in La Fortuna recommended it he said once you get to the beach just keep driving further past the Reserva Conchal hotel. We were not disappointed the sand is bright white you can sit in the shade of the trees. It seemed like we had the beach all to ourselves really seemed like only... More

Love Playa Conchal. There are seashells everywhere and very clear water. It is tough to access with a short drive on the beach which is kinda cool. You have to pay to park which is unfortunate but great stop.

I am giving thought to retiring someday after just one visit here. Rainforest and beaches within reach make it appealing, along with delightful cuisine.

When you think you have got to Playa Conchal after you have driven through some deep sand to a semi-deserted beautiful white sand beach, keep going! Follow the path off the beach up a short hill. On the other side, you'll understand. Popular with locals and tourists alike, the beach is crowded but there is plenty of room if you... More

Nice beach with tricky currents. Tico's love this place so we were not alone! Bring your own drinks or you have to go back to the street. The only official place at the beach were they sell drinks is part of a hotel and only hotelguests can buy drinks there.
