Souvenir Shop
Mar. 2019 • Couples
We stopped here on our way back from the rain forest tour. It is a quaint little shop. The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable on the items they sell in store. You can sample coffee and chocolates.

Stopped for coffee and got so much more.
Sep. 2018 • Family
We stopped for a cup of coffee because it is associated with Tio Leo coffee tour, but we found a gem. Cindy, greeted us and not only served us, assisted us with ideas for other tours during our visit and was so nice it was almost like dealing with a beloved family member. The gift shop is super nice and she informed us that 5% of their sales are donated to 2 schools in the area. We were fortunate to stop there and hope that others will too. We did not take the coffee tour because it was a Sunday.

Missed the Coffee Tour but bought Souvenirs!
Apr. 2018 • Couples
We arrived too late in the day for Tio Leo Coffee Tour but we were still able to sample and by the coffee. The rest of the store offered a great selection of souvenirs. In the end, we found the prices here to a bit higher on some items and lower on other items when compared to other areas such as in Playa del Coco. The old saying that while traveling if you see something you like best buy it as you may never see the item again certainly applies to this store as their selection was better than we found elsewhere.

Convenient place for tours to stop
Feb. 2018 • Couples
Very drab dark shop. The usual tourist items for sale, nothing unusual. The coffee is nice to give a try. It wasn't a very welcoming shop! Usually when you go to a place like this, they are happy to help and show you things. Not here! It was better just to get souvenirs at the airport or Coco Beach.

Best Souvenir Shop we went to!
Apr. 2017 • Couples
If you are looking for a variety of things to take home with you...start here!
We went to Coco Beach before discovering this place and wish we had gone here first.

We arranged for a local taxi to take us to a number of locations. He was approved by the hotel and was super nice, only knew a few words of English but we made it work.

He waited for us as we went to all our stops. My brother and I shared the cab, so for $50 plus tip, each we had his services for however long we wanted...about 4 hours in total. Be sure to check for their hours before going. Be specific of the type of vehicle you want as you may get a beater otherwise.

There is a Coffee sampling area...their peaberry coffee smelled amazing, can't wait to try it, wish they had it to sample!

It's a large store with almost anything you can think of...pottery, carved wood pieces, t-shirts, hats, a kids section, hammocks feather art and the list goes on.

In a separate building they also have a little tasting area for a few local liquors.

I found quite a number of items to take home. Super friendly people...highly recommend it!

Not far from airport!

Try the coconut cookie!
Mar. 2017 • Couples
This shop is conveniently located just up the road from the Liberia airport. There is an attached small cafe/convenience store that I didn't visit. The prices were very good on most items. I didn't think that the price of the t shirts was reasonable but maybe that was just the few that I looked at. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hammocks had a great price that was significantly lower than the shop at the airport. You can buy coffee beans that are roasted on site and were popular with other shoppers. There are samples to try of different varieties and they also give you a delicious cookie. I didn't enjoy the house blend but other people did and there are several varieties to try. They also did a great job in wrapping all of our purchases for travel.

The nicest tourist shop we visited.
Feb. 2017
This place roasts it's own coffee. It is very good, so we bought some and had it signed by the coffee roaster himself.
The shop is full of the usual tourist stuff, but it is good quality and prices are also good. We found and bought a lovely hammock, some Cacique (liquor) and some hot sauce. The toilet facilities are clean and all the staff are friendly and helpful.

Coffee Tour
Dec. 2016 • Couples
Tio Leo knows his coffee. My wife and I booked a coffee tour and learned a lot about coffee quality and how the roasting process affects caffeine levels and flavor. Really cools stuff and we'll probably never look at coffee the same way again. We spent time touring where Tio explained the variety of plants of the region, tasted fresh sugar cane and sampled the different blends of freshly roasted coffee beans. Great souvenir shop also contains a lot of original one of a kind items made by local artist. Really unique. My wife and I had a great time. We highly recommend you pay them a visit.

Must stop for CR coffee
Jun. 2016 • Couples
We stopped on our way back to the Andaz, nice gifts of all kinds including CR liquor. I especially enjoyed the coffee section, impressive small coffee roaster with a good variety of fresh coffee's available. Enjoyed visiting with the owner, very knowledgable about the process and different blends.
