We booked this in advance with Aventuras Arenal and are glad we had guides with us because we would have missed many animals that were difficult to find. The guides found them so easily! From snakes to sloths! The monkeys and small birds were easy...More

We loved this place - such an amazing place to just look at the gorgeous foliage. Had an amazing walk and loved the view of the Volcano once the walk is over.

We visited the Hanging Bridges in late March 2018. It was easy to drive there from our hotel near La Fortuna. I did it in good hiking sandals so had to sign a waiver, others in our party wore hiking shoes. We went on a...More

Much publicised, this is one of the most popular tourist attractions at lake Arenal. The guides are excellent although with so many visitors, the walkways and bridges are pretty busy. Sadly, some visitors seem to think they are on a jolly and make so much...More

The tour was fantastic. We encountered two Eyelash Vipers, lots of birds, bats, butterflies, and more! We would not have “found” the wildlife without our guide; a guide is a must!

My husband is afraid of heights and this did not bother him because the tree canopy was below the hanging bridges. We saw lots of interesting plants and not many animals. Though the cloud level kept changing as did the light, it was a pleasurable...More

We toured with Rainforest Explorers, highly recommend Jason! Took about 2+ hours. Our guide taught us so much about the flora and fauna and spotted animals everywhere. It is nice to see them through a powerful scope and be able to take pictures. We saw...More

I was a little disappointed as although we did see some wildlife we didn’t see as much as I thought we would. Seeing leaf cutter ants for the first was pretty cool. Some of the hanging bridges were fun with good views. Amazing view of...More

Yahaira was our private tour guide yesterday morning early at Mistico Arenal hanging bridges. Her knowledge expertise and professionalism as she guided us with her xray eyes was extraordinary. She still invests in learning every year to augment her already Attenborough like knowledge Base The...More

This is a beautiful winding walk through the rain forest. There are about 14 bridges that you cross that are high above the ground. You are literally in the treetops. The walkways are very well-maintained and beautifully blended with the landscape. The bridges are like...More

It depends on where you are staying. The Hanging Bridges park is about a half hour outside La Fortuna, which is at the foot of the volcano. We had a rental car, so it was easy to get around. We did it as an excursion, so... More

While there is not an age limit per say, these would be some things to consider: 1) Are you able to keep your 3 year old on the path at all times without any fear of him wandering off or touching the leaves or flowers? We... More
