We went to many places and did many tours in areas near our hotel. A favorite is the The Springs Spa Resort Hot springs in La Fortuna near Arenal Volcano. Also have Club Rio with activities to do there. The hot springs are much nicer than the ones at Tabacon and many more pools and hot springs to enjoy. We... More

My husband and I drove around Costa Rica for 10 days. We did not stay at The Springs Resort but bought a 2-day admission package with a dinner. Los Perdidos springs are maybe 100 meters lower on the property and are less "polished" than the pools that sit directly underneath the hotel. The warmer waters are on the top and... More

Day pass- a little pricey for two days and includes a three course meal from a selective menu for one night. The taxi fee for about 15-20mins was $20 but we throughly enjoyed the springs and customer service was above average. The only thing I think is not needed, you have to pay $5 for a locker and you do... More

This is a true 5star resort and get ready for the 5star price. It was well worth it and the hot springs were amazing. There were many different hot springs to choose from and all had different temputures.

We stayed at the Springs during a foggy, rainy weekend and we had an amazing time. The volcano is memorably RIGHT there, and the Springs has so much to do. We loved the slides and thermal pools in the Perdido Springs area, we loved the breakfast buffet, we ate every night at the on-site restaurants, toured their beautiful on-site animal... More

We are not typically luxury hotel dwellers, choosing to find a great "deal" on a nice, clean, above average place -- so choosing to spend upwards of $500/night was big deal for us. My expectations were almost insurmountable - Almost. The staff and accommodations at The Springs were truly beyond anything I expected or hoped for. We will return again... More

The two day pass is a great way to enjoy the hot springs without staying here. You can rent a locker and they have a nice changing room and shower area. We stayed for the 4th of July celebration buffet. The burgers were cold, there wasn't a vegetable to be had and it cost $30 a head! We would have... More

It isn't cheap but our family found The Springs to be worth it. $60 for a 2 day pass and that included a visit to their wildlife center with all rescued animals. The pools were beautiful and so is the landscaping. There's a fun slide and the pools vary from quite hot to lukewarm. We saw 4 kinds of wild... More

This place is gorgeous! the people are so nice and friendly. they explain everything and anything you want. We did tubing and it was so much fun. There was always someone ready to help you out in case you got stuck. We also did the guided tour which was also very good. The hotsprings in this place are great. The... More
