I wish I could go back here and stay longer, next time I most certainly will! I don't think a week is enough time.

The hotel had pleasant rooms, and the best dining we experienced in our 1-month trip around Costa Rica (French chef). Very helpful staff. The best birdwatching was right in the pretty hotel garden. The birdwatching trails are uphill and quite rough, however the trail alongside...More

Great place with quiet trails to escape the crowds. A distinctive cloud forest with dripping vegetation and rolling clouds creating quite an atmosphere. Climbs can be a little steep, but paths are well maintained.

Lots of hummingbirds and two Quetzals, lots more besides. Remote location. 2-3 hours from San Jose. Good facilities (accomodation) nearby

The abundance of birds is unfathomable. If you love birds, this reserve is a must on your bird watching list.
