This Hike up the Cerro Chato is well worth the effort. The beautiful lake in the center of the volcano is a must see.

We all made it to the lake but I'd only recommend it for those with decent shoes (keens or boots) and willingness to get wet and dirty. I had rain gear which was nice because it rained hard most of our hike. It is much...More

We went from the Arenal entrance near the place that does hanging bridges and ziplining. Entrance was $10 (I think), and the guy at the booth was really helpful, and was chatting to everyone as they returned, and was clearly keeping an eye on whether...More
