This is a beautiful national park. Great hiking, even in the rainy season. Jungle trails and close to La Fortuna.

Very interesting half day. Good birding, insects and flora. Walking is easy but still wear sensible shoes. Great views at top of walk. Go with guide then go on won as walks are short.

My friend and I did the combo 4-in-a-day tour with the Arenal volcano, waterfall, suspension bridges and hot springs. Our guide was minor and he was absolutely fabulous! He went the extra mile to make our tour even better!

Wonderful ride through beautiful countryside to Rio Celeste State Park. Roberto, our guide, was informative and interesting. Took us at a comfortable pace through the amazing rain forest, pointing out animals and telling us about what was going on around us. Moderately strenuous walk, simply...More

Hi Sheryl, I recommend you to fly in the route back to La Fortuna, when the tour to Tortuguero starts you will experiment the same boat ride.
