We really enjoyed our tour & volunteering & when I look at the few negative reviews, I don’t understand why some people bother to visit. They are trying to rehabilitate animals that may have been injured by humans or been kept as pets. Some can...More

We booked the tour that included feeding of the animals, and were not disappointed. It was myself and my boyfriend, and our group of 8 people was led by Carlos. Carlos is passionate, knowledgeable, and kept the kids in the group interested throughout the tour....More

We loved seeing the animals and learning about them - but the highlight was definitely helping to feed the birds and the monkeys. Definitely do the volunteer - I don't think we would have enjoyed it nearly as much if we didn't get the extra...More

Due to the information given to us by the guide at Proyecto Asis (I think his name was Carlos), about how all native Costa Rican wildlife is protected by law, and that they cannot be kept as pets. It helped us get a baby sloth...More

Hi Cococar, Thanks so much for your visit and opinion. The enclosures have become bigger through time and as you mention, we pretend to work on them again. We have a couple of very nice ideas for the monkeys.

This sanctuary does important work supporting rescued animals that can't be returned to the wild while also working to heal and return others. When we visited there were monkeys, beautiful birds and a wild cat.
