    Wonderful place to relax!
This place is the perfect spot to relax and unwind after a very active day. The variety of pools, temperatures, and configurations were fun to explore. Very clean, peaceful, and quiet. The wait staff at the pools and in the restaurant were friendly, efficient, and professional. I highly recommend this place for unique relaxing experience.

Hot springs were okay- food buffet was so good!
The hot springs were pretty! They didn't feel as hot as I would've wanted them. There aren't too many varieties of temperature and temperature isn't posted that we could see. Our reservation included hot springs access with dinner buffet. The dinner was AMAZING. The food was all locally grown and so delicious. The staff in the restaurant were so welcoming. The staff at checkin were distracted on their phones and not very warm welcoming or at our departure. Overall, it was a pretty property. Hot springs were okay, the buffet was so fresh and thoughtfully presented.

    Beautiful, serene soaking pools
Ecotermales is a beautiful hot springs resort. The most natural looking hot springs in the area, we enjoyed relaxing in the rock pools and having a drink while we cooled off in others. Serene and calming, although there were a few kids there during the evening time slot it felt more adult and we loved being there in the dark with the lights reflecting off the waterfalls and pools. The pools don’t have much variety in temperature and there is not an area for those that enjoy really hot water. We booked the option with dinner but we’re a later reservation and the food was pretty sparse, they were not refilling everything at 8:00. I would definitely go back again, we enjoyed it very much!

Best hot springs experience in La Fortuna!
Hot springs are an essential activity when visiting Costa Rica, but how do you choose when there are so many? Listen to Mary at Ti-Fakara and choose Ecotermales! Situated minutes from La Fortuna, Ecotermales has plenty of room to enjoy 4 levels of natural pools that get increasingly warm as you go higher. The setting is serene and the water is revitalizing, after which you can sip expertly made cocktails from the spring-side bar. The changing rooms include lockers with keys you can wear as wristbands, so you can take only your swimsuit and a towel. The sandy floor means no shoes are required, and the nighttime experience is well worth the reservation.

    Beautiful hot springs
Beautiful hot springs. Visited as part of a tour package after a volcano trek. Had plenty of time for dinner and a dip or 2 in the hot springs. Buffet dinner was delicious with plenty of choice. Hot springs were lovely and relaxing, not too busy and we visited in the evening. The staff serving drinks from the pool side were great. We had cocktails that were delicious. The whole area was clean and peaceful. Beautiful setting. A locker is provided to keep valuables and towels were included too. Highly recommend these hot springs.

    Natural setting with excellent facilities
We came here with a tour, from 3-6pm followed by a dinner. There are several pools in a very pleasant, natural setting. It got a little crowded after 5pm but still ok. Very nice showers and changing rooms. The bar was ok (would recommend replacing unsightly plastic chairs and tables). Dinner was buffet style with decent food. The hot springs are a major attraction in this area (several options available) and while interesting, even in December, the weather was pretty hot so soaking in hot springs would not be on the top of my to do list. But still, it was a very nice experience.

    Excellent place
We visited this place at night, they have 2 admission slots, morning and night. I would recommend the night one since it would be nicer to be in hot water when the air is fresh. They have limited availability since they don’t want it to be crowded, i think 100 maximum so try to book ahead, especially for night admission since it tends to get fully booked. The water is very warm and lovely, they have multiple pools with various degrees of water temperature.

    Fantastic and not crowded
We loved this place. I thought I would get bored by a whole day in hot springs but could happily have stayed much longer! It was wonderfully relaxing, not too many people even though it was fully booked so they limit numbers very well, and the lunch was delicious.

beautiful place, with pleasant pools and a lush vegetation. We saw more monkeys from the pools than during our tour to the forest! I was a bit worried about spending time bathing in hot water while the weather was hot humid and sunny, but it was in fact a very relaxing and enjoyable experience, especially after a couple of days of intense hiking.

We (family with triplets aged ten) loved our evening at the hot springs. We’d zip wired down the volcano in the morning, then climbed up it in the afternoon, so were ready for some chill time.

We probably visited on one of the busiest days of the year - 30/12 - but the crowds didn’t detract from the experience. Even the coolest pool is pretty hot, so I’d recommend an evening visit as you’d get cooked if the sun was blasting down too.

The on-site restaurant was great. Lots of choice and tasty food, particularly good considering it was catering for the masses.

Definitely worth a visit, if only for the pure novelty factor.

After hiking two days straight Ecotemales was the perfect place to relax and pamper my sore muscles. Each pool was a different temperature. Start off cool and work your way up to the warmest ones. We went early in the morning so it wasn't very crowded at all. we heard in the evening time it gets busier. There were lockers to keep things safe,

Our only remark would be the lunch they provided wasn't our favorite meal but the staff was very nice and the pina colada we had int the water was amazing!

My husband and I had 5pm reservations here, but arrived 30 mins early and they let us in. The first hour was perfect, it was so beautiful, quiet and romantic. The natural greenery surrounding the pools was stunning. I ordered a most delicious frozen drink that was so refreshing in the hot water. Unfortunately, an hour into our soak, a group of about 30 people arrived together, and they were loud and obnoxious. They were all in their fifties, but acted like children. It kind of ruined the experience for us after that. Of course, this is no fault of the facility, but it would have been nice if they had staff to remind guests to settle down.....which seems like it shouldn’t be necessary when we’re dealing with adults, but unfortunately, it was that day. Aside from those obnoxious people, which is probably not the norm, the place was fabulous. It was clean, and well cared for. I would recommend the hot springs, especially if you’re spending your days hiking and being active. It’s a great way to unwind after a long day.

We took the night package including diner Andy got there around 17h30 and reserve for lunch for 19h.
It was a bit crowded and loud at the beginning as there was many bus tours. We are used to spa at home where you need to remain quiet and whisper.
Around 18h many people went for diner and it became much quieter. It was a great experience. However, if it was to do again I would go to the spa a bit later around 18h and would go to diner elsewhere as the buffet was not very tasty.
The drinks were good and refreshing.

Our holiday company booked this for us as part of our trip to Cost Rica while staying in La Fortuna
This was certainly one of the highlights of our trip, we had a fantastic experience with one of the staff there (i cant remember his name but he is a fellow Manchester United fan, so a top guy anyway 😉) he was super helpful and friendly and showed where the lockers are and the fresh towels and also showed us where the bar and restaurant was
The springs themselves are amazing! There are several sections to enjoy some include water falls. The natural rainforest backdrop is beautiful. Ideally you want to visit late afternoon early evening when it is getting dark, the area is tastefully lit up and make the experience all the more great!
Having read reviews of other hot springs near by, it would seem that this place is a cut above the rest as it certainly wasn't crowded and we never felt rushed or uncomfortable
Highly recommend 👍

Not sure what to say other than it was paradise on earth! The setting is gorgeous and the facilities were clean and bright. We went in early morning to noon, and avoided a crowd and the rain (it’s June and rainy season). The hot springs are surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings and paths. We didn’t try the restaurant so I can’t comment on that- but we loved the springs.

The pools are gorgeous, well-maintained, and feel great.

However, don't add the meal to your ticket. You will end up paying far more to have no choice about what you eat. It turns out, the restaurant offers a la carte menu options to anyone using the pools...which was not clear on the website at all. So we ended up feeling scammed.

The food tasted pretty good and the service was wonderful. It wasn't their fault at all (we didn't complain to any of the workers there). But they put food in front of us that cost about $5 in ingredients and charged the two of us $60 for it. The exception to the food being good was dessert--absurdly bad. And we paid more for the privilege!

The pools are wonderful and worth the money. And we would even have been happy with the food if we'd had a choice about what to order and what to pay. But nobody likes feeling scammed.

By reading reviews, seems like the crowds can be hit or miss. We went on a Monday and got there by 1030. Stayed until 2ish and there were probably only 30 other people there. It was nice and relaxing.

All the pools adjourn starting with the warmest and then it sort of feeds into the other pools, mildly cooling as it cascades down.

Due to the lack of crowds, it was awesome. Plenty of linger chairs to choose from and we enjoyed our a la carts lunch there. We went with a other couple who prepaid for their meal and they had a choice of three different entrees, but didn’t seem anything special and p ur al la carts ended up being less expensive and just as satisfying.

I went here with elder/adult family members looking for a break and just be able to relax and for them to also have a great time specially since one of my elder family members had their birthday that day.

The girl at the counter was awesome and her customer service and attention to detail was more than outstanding.

Installations are ok, but for my family where more than good.

My only concern is that we brought a tiny cake for that elder family member birthday, which the girl in the lobby understood the situation and let us went through with it since we were apart from people outside our bubble and it was just a quick birthday song.

Although the girl at the lobby was great and understandable , the little guy at the bar which is in front of the 3 springs with the bridge was disrespectful towards my family, insistent and removed the joy out of the day.

I understand there is other people in the place, that’s why we as a bubble went really apart from everyone to a table in order to not bother anyone else with our quick song birthday celebration for my elder family member. However this person went out of his way from the bar to look for us and tell us that we cannot celebrate nor eat that tiny cake.

How awful you have to be to ruin an elder persons birthday just for a tiny cake. My elder family member didn’t deserve that treatment, even less after all the anxiety COVID as caused him

Just for this annoying person that works at that bar I’m not coming back and I will never advice people to go here (Friends, family nor work peers). Not even when we needed to buy drinks he was there, only appeared to ruin the day for my family

This was a great option for hot springs. Was smaller, and when we went in mid-week afternoon wasn't crowded at all. There was plenty of parking. Check-in process was smooth and easy. Bathrooms also had changing rooms with showers. Towels and lockers were free and clean. There are several different 'pools' with differing temperatures marked on the side. Several had mini waterfalls you could sit under. There is also a restaurant, and though we didn't have food, we did have frozen drinks which were good (charged to the number of your wrist band and paid for when you check out). Overall a very enjoyable experience.
