We drove around the lake, and stopped at one of the restaurants right on it's shore. It is a beautiful sight, wish we had time to actually go sailing on it, but not this time.
It's amazing to think that this is a man-made lake,...More
The Arenal Lake offers you without any doubt the best view in between the 2 oceans we have in CR. There are also many beautiful spots for eating, resting, spend time with friends or couples or just go and wait for the sunset while you...More

The drive around Lake Arenal was a very unique and beautiful experience. Highly recommend it. Nice little towns to stop in, to shop, or have a bite to eat. Breathtaking scenery all along the way. We really enjoyed it. Beau and Leena

Yes. I just fish from the shore of Lake Arenal on the south end by the dam. Catch and release. I hit it up early morning and late afternoon and tend to stay pretty busy letting fish go. There are also guys like Captain Ron (look him up) that will take you out on a boat and put you on fish.
