We drove around the lake, and stopped at one of the restaurants right on it's shore. It is a beautiful sight, wish we had time to actually go sailing on it, but not this time. It's amazing to think that this is a man-made lake,...More

Largest lake in Costa Rica, we took a paddle board trip from Tabacon Resort. Fantastic scenery, great views of Arenal Volcano, lots of bird life, there's also places where you can put in and walk on hiking trails - saw some wildlife that way.

Rented a boat and cruises around the lake. There is cranes and other birds. Boats are available from hustlers.

The lake around the volcano gives you Greta photo ops. It's so relaxing to sit in the shore and enjoy the beautiful view.

My husband, brother and I hiked the entire park. It's an easy hike even for beginners as the pathway is mostly level and flat with the exception of climbing to the lava fields which is an option. We spotted one Toucan and no other wildlife,...More

The drive around Lake Arenal was a very unique and beautiful experience. Highly recommend it. Nice little towns to stop in, to shop, or have a bite to eat. Breathtaking scenery all along the way. We really enjoyed it. Beau and Leena

There is a spot to enter for swimming where there is a hit with blue kayaks on a slope, may be in the east side, not fair from the main road
