We took two tours with Canoa Aventura. The first was the float on Penas Blancas river. Our guide was “Kojak”, and if you are as old as we are, you will know that he looked like the tv character. Our guide was knowledgeable and had...More

Our recent trip to Costa Rica was very much fly-by-the-seat-of-our-pants, without a planned itinerary, selecting daily activities based on TripAdvisor and recommendations from other travelers in the area. After an animal-rich walk at the Sloth Park, the owner there recommended this "river safari tour" to...More

We did Safari Float by Kayak on Rio Penas Blancas ( White Cliffs). Guide looked at our old, fat, crippled selves and asked, very politely, if we might not prefer a raft. We are sooooo glad we took a raft! We were comfortable and saw...More

Great time with our tour guide Helen. she was very informative and pointed out numerous flora and fauna. We saw 2 species of monkeys, 3 species of bats, snakes, tarantula, beetle and birds. Beautiful views from multiple swinging bridges. Definitely worth it!
