We used Florence as a stop off the Natchez Trace because we wanted to see the birthplace of the astonishing Helen Keller. We learned so much about her life and contributions.

I wish I could’ve gone without my son because it takes time to go through this precious place of history! My son who is 10 did not appreciate it so I will go again when I have all the time in the world!

The whole tour and talk was extremely good. Too bad we went too late for the re enactment of her story. Very good to hear the whole story.

House and grounds were nicely prepared. Presentation of history and facts was first-rate. The play was really well done. The staff were helpful and informative, but not at all stuffy, pompous or pushy. Really enjoyed the experience.

The home and grounds were well kept and the three ladies who were the docents knew so much about the house and contents they could point things out without even looking at them. The entrance could be labeled a bit better as the place to...More
