Meaher State Park Campground is a great campground. We stayed here a week exploring the Eastern Shore of Mobile Bay. I would not rate it as a good state park - essentially there's a boat launch ramp, a fishing pier and a short boardwalk to view Mobile Bay. Great sunsets though!

Thanks for your review. Meaher State Park is limited in what it offers but it is a great place to camp and explore the area. More

Neat little State Park RV campground with a public boat ramp for inshore fishing in upper east Mobile bay. Clean bathhouse facilities and full service RV spots.

Small park that made our trip very nice, not many campers so had our privacy, camped right on the lake. The only negative was sugar ants, they seem to be everywhere and even all over out RV, They have a nice dock that is 300 feet with a 200 foot tee and if you take your little dog with you,... More

Thank you for your review. We are very glad you have a nice trip. The sugar ants have been pretty active this year. We are looking at other alternatives for dealing with them. Hope you come to visit again soon. More

We camped at Meaher State Park June 30-July 3rd. It is truly urban camping. The interstate and restaurants are a quick drive up the road. We took our boat and I was assured by the park we would have ample parking for it and that was true. The camp sites are large and we had no problem getting our 18... More

Thank you so much for your review. It has been a very hot summer so I can imagine how uncomfortable you must have been in a tent. I love to tent camp but I think this heat would be a bit too much for me also. The park does spray for insects but as you said being so close to... More

Hello, Thank you for your review. I am sorry you felt like the park was expensive but it is actually about average for full hookup campground. I did some research and in the Keys the cheapest in season camping rates that I could find was a little over $77 per night- off season $44. While this is certainly not the... More

Great location, relaxing, grand view of the Mobile Bay. Close by to downtown and a lot of great seafood restaurants.

Meager is a beautiful campground right on the water. It's a very peaceful place. It could use more trails.

We stayed in this campground for a week to attend some University of Louisiana, Lafayette Baseball and Softball games. The place was VERY nice, full hookups, we were right on Mobile bay and the view from teh bay front sites were awe inspiring in the mornings and evenings. There are alligators in the bay so keep little children and animals... More

We're a rarity nowadays, still tent camping. This often means we camp in RV parks. We selected Meaher State Park for its great location, close to Mobile. We were absolutely delighted when we arrived and discovered that the tent sites are all close to the bay and we selected a site with a stunning view. Our four nights were peaceful... More

Didn't stay here but visited two days in a row. Small attractive well kept State Park. The fishing pier was the main attraction for my son and I. Both freshwater and saltwater species can be caught. Fishing was slow on the days we were there except for the one huge catfish we hooked into.
